Q. Where can I find historical school enrollment data for Indiana?

2006-Present

Currently, the DOE website provides data for 2006-present on their website here

See:

Corporation Enrollment by Grade Level & School Enrollment by Grade Level. You can also find Accredited Non-Public School Enrollment here, 2011-present.

1990-2005

The DOE provides data through a legacy database with historical enrollment data 1990-2005 that contains both public and non-public K-12 enrollment numbers. The Indiana State Data Center keeps this data or you can request it directly from DOE.

Before 1990

For enrollment data before 1990, at the State Library, we have the following items in print that provide data. You can request these at the Information Desk on the 2nd floor.

Report of Statistical Information for Indiana School Corporations (Indiana Department of Public Instruction), which will give you pages of digital read-outs by corporation.
