Can I get access to Academic Research Databases?
Access to Academic Research Databases
Answer
If you are located in Indiana, the INSPIRE databases provide you with free access to many databases that you can use in your research. You can access INSPIRE on the front page of the Indiana State Library website, or directly at https://inspire.in.gov/.
For the current list of databases covered by INSPIRE, use the link at the top of the INSPIRE page for Databases A to Z, or https://inspire.in.gov/databases-z. These are all provided free to Indiana residents. Otherwise, access to many of these would be behind pay walls with subscription fees.
You can search these databases one by one or you can use the Advanced Search to search all at once. If you have questions about searching INSPIRE, you can contact us librarians at the State Library for assistance.
